Russian Satellite (Laika Remix) was released in August 2026.

A remix that celebrates the 20^th anniversary of Kinematic's debut album Time & Place, recorded at Darnum Wood in November 2003 and released in October 2005.

Just like a satellite, this song has lingered in Kinematic’s orbit for more than 20 years. We’ve renamed this version the Laika Remix, after the Russian dog sent into space aboard Sputnik 2. It’s a tribute to a story that’s equal parts wonder and heartbreak — a reminder of the sacrifices made in the pursuit of exploration. This one’s for Laika.
